This can be things like manufacturing errors, items arriving with holes, or the order arriving with clear, demonstrable damage from shipping. I typically ship within three business days although I frequently mail a bit sooner as I know how nice it is to receive something right away! Shipping times may be extended slightly on occasion. You'll find the current ship time in the listing, and on your receipt.

USPS as well as other shipping services (UPS, FedEx, etc.) are currently experiencing delays in delivery. This is due in large part to the widespread effects of the Corona Virus.
